TLO at Hodge Podge

The Layered Onion (TLO) has partnered with Hodge Podge Madison to adorn its walls with art created by our community of artists with lived mental and emotional health experiences.

The space will host rotating exhibitions with pieces available for sale on the TLO Shop.

Theme: Windows

Our next gallery showing at Hodge Podge focuses on Windows – however abstract, direct, or indirectly you are inspired.

Your entry should muse on the concept of windows, either figuratively, metaphorically, or however you would like to approach it! Perhaps you will play with perspective from behind (or in front of) an open or closed window. What’s on the other side? Only you know.

Distortions or clarity, what do you see? What should we see?

We look forward to seeing what you come up with and what you send in!

This theme was chosen from multiple entries at our last in-person event – thanks for the wonderful suggestions!

Submission Guidelines (Open Call)

Accepting submissions of visual art.

  • Please provide high-resolution files for artwork. Images need to be at a minimum of 356 dots per inch (DPI) at 11×18. We will let the artist know the size of the print needed after being notified of selection. Artist-framed original and print pieces are accepted. Lower resolutions WILL NOT be accepted.
  • NO submission fees.
  • Include the following information with your submission:
    • Your Name
    • Artwork Title
    • Media Used
    • Year Produced
    • Sales Price
      • Note that TLO will add a 30% commission on top of the price.

      • The Layered Onion Hodge Podge exhibited collection will be sold in the TLO shop. Your work may be included in promotional material on TLO social media, always giving you credit.
