Anam Tariq

I am an emerging poet from India and I write poetry, book reviews, articles and research papers. Writing is one of my favourite pastimes other than watching movies/series or reading. Writing is a process where, if you are brimming with ideas, you can keep spilling them on paper on end but there are also times when your writing time only brackets your search for words in the wind or when you get up with your write up made up of one phrase or sentence. It is thus, daunting. Apart from writing, I also love reading, reviewing and curating poetry. Hence, I launched a weekly newsletter recently, called The Wordsridge Newsletter on Substack which is free for anyone who wishes to subscribe. A Leaf upon a Book (Leadstart Publishers, 2022) is my debut poetry collection. My poems have also appeared in two poetry anthologies and literary magazines like The Punch Magazine, New Reader Magazine, Spill Words, Lived Collective, LiveWire and elsewhere. My poetry is forthcoming in two poetry anthologies published by The Soap Box Press and Writer’s Pocket.
